"The real things haven't changed. It is still best to be honest and truthful; to make the most of what we have; to be happy with simple pleasures; and have courage when things go wrong."

Finished Stitching Projects

In between canning and cleaning out the boys' closets to get them ready for school, somehow I've managed to finish another towel and a pillow tuck.  I'm hoping to have items listed in my Etsy shoppe before the end of August...just in time to begin thinking about decorating for the Fall holidays!  Of course I have plenty more projects lined up and waiting.

I just love how this little pillow tuck turned out:

And I have three more designs from the same pattern to add to it!  The pattern collection is entitled "Pumpkins 'A Plenty II" and was designed by Sandra Sullivan of Homespun Elegance. (I just love her designs!)
And here's my latest towel....I thought the buttons made for a cute addition:

Hopefully I'll get more stitching done this week but my next project is canning dill pickles later this week.  I'll be sure post some pics and of course, the recipe as well.

  3. Beautiful decorations! I love Fall - perfect weather. It's not blazing hot, but you don't have frost covering your windows either. Plus, the color change in the leaves is beautiful. And of course, fall means Halloween (which gives an excuse to eat lots of candy) ;-)

Stopping by and following from the "To-The-Top Tuesday" blog hop. Would love a follow back :)

  5. Found you via the bloghop. I love the Laura Ingalls quote. Her books have always been an inspiration to me. It's been fun to now share them with my own children.

  6. Everything looks really good. Especially the canning. My mom used to can up a storm and she would provide me with enough green beans and canned tomatoes that I never had to buy those in the store until she passed away. Boy, I miss those beans!! I am a new follower of your blog thru GFC and would really love a follow back when you get a chance. Thanks so much and have a great weekend!
